SUMMARY:“The Nature within”- Nature’s blueprint
DESCRIPTION:“The Nature within”– Nature’s blueprint  \nThe Nature Within” invites viewers to explore the quiet terrain where the external natural world intersects with the internal emotional landscape. Each piece in this collection speaks in a language of cellular forms\, microscopic textures\, and meditative marks —offering glimpses into life’s organic structure and eternal cycles of creation\, growth\, decay\, and rebirth. \nThrough line\, colour\, texture\, and repetition of dots\, I examine how the world outside mirrors our internal journey. There is structure\, but there is also chaos; there is pattern\, and there is flow. My process becomes a practice of listening — to the earth\, to the body\, and to the breath between thoughts. \n           \nIn these works\, circular forms\, rhythmic lines and pointillist textures reflect nature’s blueprint: seeds\, spores\, roots\, and the spaces between. But they also map inward — tracing memory\, transformation\, and stillness. This exhibition is a contemplation on how we are not separate from nature — we are nature\, remembered in every mark and every silence. \nOpening Day / Inauguration/ Vernissage : 6 July 2025 kl 13 – 18\nExhibition is open every day kl 11-18 until 13 July 2025 \n  \n\n

SUMMARY:Anja Lund & Maria Thorin
DESCRIPTION:Anja Lund \nI travel a lot and work both around the world and in my permanent studio in Roslagen.Nature is often a recurring theme in my work\, but I am moving more and more towards abstraction. What fascinates me most is the journey of pigments through water — their individual properties\, as well as the thousands of combinations I love to experiment with. \nMaria Thorin \nI live on Vätö\, where I also have my studio. Nowadays\, I mostly choose graphic techniques in my work.I enjoy the combination of precise craftsmanship and a certain element of chance that comes with printmaking.Using simple visual elements and various choices of color and composition\, I create images that are often inspired by words\, verses\, and stories.

SUMMARY:Carl Håkan Källåker
DESCRIPTION:“In my latest series of paintings\, I turn towards the boundless world of flowers — their forms\, colors\, and the emotions they evoke. These works are not mere botanical studies\, but an exploration of the imagination that blooms within and beyond nature itself.Every brushstroke seeks to capture the vitality\, playfulness\, and inner life of floral elements as they unfold across the canvas. \nThe upcoming exhibition at Gallery Carl in Stockholm invites visitors into this blooming universe — where color dances\, forms flow\, and hope quietly takes root amidst petals and light. In uncertain times\, I wish for this work to offer a gentle celebration of life’s enduring beauty and creative spirit.” \n— Carl Håkan Källåker

SUMMARY:Salazar Luna
DESCRIPTION:SHARED SPACES captures images born out of exile\, extermination\, and genocide. These consist of invisible and emotional memories carried in the luggage—where the container transports sensations\, feelings\, scents\, and tastes that share space with personal belongings. \nSHARED SPACES are fragmented landscapes\, ethnic scenes from diverse cultures that take us on a journey to a distant place imprinted in memories. A place where nostalgia reveals itself through a scent\, a taste\, or a feeling. \n“Like the scent of the sea…”\n“The taste of a spice…”\n“The feeling of being high in the mountains or immersed in the vastness of La Pampa…” \nSHARED SPACES transports you through time and space via different paths\, trails\, and tracks. Surreal landscapes made up of symbolic places\, experienced emotions\, uncomfortable and pleasant memories\, all arising from a persistent sense of nostalgia. \n \n  \n\n\n\n\nKRO Member\nMy name is Salazar Luna. I was born in 1956 in Maitencillo\, Chile. \nIn 1980\, I left Chile and settled in La Pampa\, Argentina. After seven years in Argentina\, I moved to Sweden and lived in Stockholm for 13 years. In 2001\, I relocated to Gran Canaria\, Spain\, where I stayed until 2012. I am now back in Sweden and living in Åkersberga. \nI have been working with art since the 1980s\, and my first exhibition was in 1985. \nWhen it comes to my art\, I consider myself self-taught. Early in my artistic career\, I focused on installations and performances that depicted the abuses committed in my home country. Over time\, I painted more and more\, with my art often addressing social and political themes. \nFrom the 1990s onward\, I have sought to engage in a more universal and intellectual approach to my work. Although I have explored different artistic directions\, such as sculpture and printmaking\, I continue to investigate\, clarify\, explore\, and search within painting\, as well as through performance and installations. \nDuring this period\, I have exhibited in various museums\, galleries\, and art halls in countries such as Argentina\, Mexico\, France\, Poland\, Finland\, Spain\, China\, and Sweden. \nMy art is represented in museums\, embassies\, municipal buildings\, and private collections.

SUMMARY:Paula Elion\, Leonardo Guayán\, Silvia Festa
DESCRIPTION:LA Art Stockholm proudly announces its launch\, introducing a dynamic platform dedicated to showcasing Latin American artists within the Nordic region. This initiative aims to bridge cultural narratives\, offering audiences a profound insight into the rich tapestry of Latin American art and its contextual significance. Among the featured artists\, Paula Elion\, an Argentinean-Israeli artist based in Stockholm\, employs mixed media to explore themes of displacement and belonging. Her works\, such as the installation of sun prints in the “Traces” exhibition\, utilize ephemeral materials to reflect on the transient nature of memory. Silvia Festa\, an Argentine-Swedish artist\, draws inspiration from nature and her Italian heritage. Her artistic journey began under the mentorship of Francisco Biojone\, with early works influenced by the colors\, light\, and textures of Tuscany. Festa’s paintings capture natural wonders\, from Argentina’s majestic glaciers to Scandinavia’s mesmerizing northern lights\, using dense layers of acrylic paint applied with palette knives. This technique imparts a tactile quality to her work\, inviting viewers to experience the essence of the landscapes she portrays . Leonardo Guayán brings a vibrant fusion of tradition and modernity to his work\, capturing the essence of Latin American heritage through dynamic compositions. His pieces often reflect on societal structures and the human experience\, prompting introspection and dialogue. Angélica Chavarro’s practice is rooted in exploring the complexities of cultural intersections and personal experiences. Through her art\, she navigates themes of identity and transformation\, offering a nuanced perspective on the multifaceted nature of existence. This launch event not only celebrates the unique voices of these artists but also underscores LA Art Stockholm’s commitment to fostering cultural exchange and enriching the Nordic art scene with diverse expressions. We invite you to join us in this celebration of creativity and dialogue. \nVernissage April 23 at 18:00 Galleri Carl\, Skeppargatan 7\, Stockholm\nExhibition continues until April 24; opening times 17:00-21:00 \nImage 1: Paula Elion\, Cactus Mexicano\, Acrylic on canvas\, 70x60cm\,2023 \nImage 2: Leonardo Guayán\, Tititaca – Perú\, B&W Photography\, 50×70\, 2023 \nImage 3: Silvia Festa\, Aurora 2\, Acrylic on canvas\, 50×50\, 2020 \n

SUMMARY:Anna Löwdin
DESCRIPTION:I have been painting for as long as I can remember\, but about eighteen years ago\, I began sculpting in stone in earnest. Over time\, stone has taken an increasingly central place in my work and is now my primary form of expression. In both painting and sculpting\, I focus on the same themes or forms for extended periods. \nThe sculptures I create now\, ranging from more figurative torsos to abstract forms\, share a common foundation: the posture of the human body. Posture can carry many meanings—not just physical stance but also attitude\, character\, stability\, or mindset. These are value-laden words that reveal how a person relates to the world around them. \nFor me\, it is a search for calm\, where the sculpture’s presence in a space feels natural yet not passive. This does not necessarily mean they have a proud or defiant bearing. The thought and emotion behind the work are more about seeking and expressing a composed strength to face an increasingly unsettling world. \n

SUMMARY:Woo Bock Lee
DESCRIPTION:There is nothing more difficult than simplicity\, clarity\, and purity.\nWoo-Bock Lee’s meditative and sensitive images show that the simplest details can offer us unexpected depths\, allowing us to better understand ourselves and the world we live in. \nLife is a transit hall\, where we all pass through in a flash\, carrying our memories\, magical histories\, experiences\, dreams\, and the treasures we search for far away\, only to find them at our doorstep. \nWoo-Bock Lee creates reliefs and freestanding objects from steel wire mesh\, onto which she glues book pages inscribed with Chinese characters in multiple layers. The result is a symbiosis of painting\, sculpture\, and craftsmanship. \nShe also cuts the book pages into strips and twists them into threads\, which she then weaves into the steel wire mesh. \nThis technique originates from a Korean method called chiseung. \nShe creates with ease\, but through time-consuming processes\, aiming above all to convey to the viewer: harmony. \n
