“I was born and raised in Dalarna. I have always had an interest in art, but it truly developed during my teacher training, when I had a very skilled teacher in color and form. Since then, I’ve taken a few courses but consider myself self-taught. After retirement, I have dedicated myself to painting. I have had several exhibitions, including a successful one with the theme “Greta Garbo 100 Years” at Hotel Birger Jarl in Stockholm. Greta Garbo still fascinates me.

My roots in Dalarna are also evident in my art, as I enjoy painting Dala horses.
I primarily paint in acrylics but also use mixed techniques. I believe I have found my own style by investing time and layers of color to create exciting textures in my paintings. The technique remains consistent, even though I wildly experiment with different subjects that balance between abstract and representational. Hopefully, this leaves room for personal interpretation by the viewer.”
